Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions clients ask most often before starting a website, e-shop or system project. Didn't find yours? Write to info@texus.lt – we reply the same business day.
Before you start
Why choose Texus?
We have been building websites, e-shops and systems since 2007 – more than 2,000 projects so far, with 12–17 new websites launched every month. We work with growing and mid-sized companies, large manufacturers and retailers, and public sector institutions.
What clients value most is that we listen, explain things in plain language and stay with them after launch – many have worked with us for years.
How much does a website or e-shop cost?
Every project is different, so we price it according to your needs. The main factors are:
- the number of pages and amount of content, and how custom the design is;
- for an e-shop – the number of products, pricing rules and checkout logic;
- integrations with accounting, warehouse, payment or courier systems;
- extra features: bookings, customer accounts, multiple languages, AI solutions.
After a short conversation we send a proposal with the price and timeline – free of charge and with no obligation. If your budget is limited, we will suggest what to do first and what can wait.
How long does it take to build a website?
We usually prepare the structure and design within about a month and a half of signing the contract – by then you can already see what your website will look like. When it goes live depends mostly on the content: texts, photos and product information.
If preparing content is a challenge for you, we can help.
Where do we start?
With a conversation. Tell us what you want to achieve – we will suggest a solution, price and timeline. Introductory meetings and the proposal come with no obligation: write to info@texus.lt, fill in the form or call +370 5 204 5305.
Working together
Who will I be in contact with during the project?
One person – your project manager. A whole team works on your project: designers, developers and testers, but you don't need to coordinate with each of them – one responsible person handles all your questions.
Will we be able to edit the website content ourselves?
Yes. You will manage the website through a convenient content management system and receive training material with it – so you can update texts, photos, news or products yourselves. If it suits you better, we can update the content for you.
We already have a website, but it is outdated. What do you suggest?
We will build a new website to replace the old one – with a modern design, a clearer structure and easy use on phones. Many of our clients come to us exactly like this – with a website that no longer meets their needs.
We move the valuable content from the old website to the new one, so you lose nothing. And if your old website ranked well in search, we keep that ranking so you stay visible on Google.
Do you work with public sector institutions?
Yes – we build and maintain websites for institutions under Lithuanian ministries and municipalities, as well as for other companies, institutions and organisations. We build them to meet the general requirements for Lithuanian public sector websites and make sure they are accessible to people with disabilities.
Capabilities
Can the e-shop be connected to our accounting system?
Yes – so that orders, stock and prices don't have to be moved by hand. We work with Rivilė, Agnum, Directo, Odoo, Dineta, Navision, Pragma and TSM; payments via Paysera, PayPal, Stripe, SEB, Swedbank, Luminor and Citadele; DPD, Omniva, LP Express and DHL couriers; supplier XML and ONIX data. If your system can exchange data, we will connect to it too.
Do you build mobile apps?
Yes – iOS and Android apps for your customers or employees, from the idea to publishing on the App Store and Google Play. The app works with the same data as your website or internal systems.
How can artificial intelligence help our business?
An AI assistant can answer customers or employees using your own information, digitise documents (such as invoices) and take over repetitive tasks. In a conversation we will work out together where AI would save you the most time.
Can the website be multilingual?
Yes, if you need it. We have proven solutions for that.
After launch
Will you help after the website is launched?
Of course. After launch we keep working with you: we maintain the website, update it and build new features. Many clients have worked with us for years.
If the website is important to your daily work, we offer a service plan: your requests are handled with priority and answered the same business day, and if you wish, we also update the content every month.
How long will our website stay usable?
The website itself has no expiry date – it will work for as long as you need it. Throughout its lifetime we offer security updates and adaptation to changing technologies.
Design and usage trends do change, though: for up to 3 years a website usually looks current, up to 5 years it still looks good, and after that it is worth thinking about a new one. This is not a rule – some of our clients have been successfully using the websites we built for them for more than 10 years.
Will the website be secure?
Yes. We pay close attention to security while building the website, and afterwards we develop and install security updates so it stays protected against new threats.
The websites we have built make up a significant share of Lithuanian websites, so their security is also monitored by the National Cyber Security Centre of Lithuania (NKSC).
Do you help attract visitors?
Yes – we help bring in visitors from Google and Facebook and manage Facebook accounts.
